Have you ever put on a pair of blue jeans only to hear a loud ripping sound as you are pulling them on? No, well I did a few weeks ago and when I looked down I found a big rip at the knee of the jeans. Maybe 20 years ago, I would have thought, "cool", but at 41, a ripped pair of blue jeans is not the look I am going for. Those jeans have been down-graded to my 'work in the yard' jeans, but with only one other pair of non-ripped blue jeans I really needed a new pair...or at least new to me.
Jeans can be so expensive. So, I headed over to my new favorite thrift store, on a 50% off Wednesday of course, to find a pair of jeans. At first I was overwhelmed by the racks of blue jeans that ARE NOT sized. I am almost 5'11, so I need jeans that are specifically longer in length. But after just a few minutes I spotted these brand new Levis in my size for $3 after the 50% off sale. WOO HOO!! I Am Choosing Thrift First!
