Oh, I'm so late to the Frugal Friday party (it seems I'm always a couple weeks behind reading) but I did want to note that I've had some luck soaking carrots in water in the refrigerator and getting them to come back. Sometimes, though, you just gotta punt like you did. Great thinking!

Great idea with the carrots! We don't buy baby carrots (too rich for us, lol), but it does make you stop and think before throwing anything out, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!
