Sell Your Big Stuff on Craigslist
Today is day 3 of the challenge and we’re going to sell the big stuff on Craigslist. Yesterday, we pulled all of the clutter together to sell at a yard sale, but often times yard sales aren’t great for clearing out the big items that you want a specific price for. People want to pay yard sale prices at yard sales.
So today, we’re going to scour our house for the big items that will make a substantial dent in our quest to find $1000 i n 31 days. Since I’m not a Craigslist expert, I’ve found some posts from around the web for successfully selling on Craigslist.

- Craigslist: Sell Your Item in 24 Hours or Less at Man V. Debt – Courtney sold 18 items on 7 days and made $6800!
I’ll be honest, I have never sold anything on Craigslist, so this challenge is a little intimidating for me. But these bloggers offer so many tips that they just might have taken the fear away.
What will you sell on Craigslist? Let us know in the comments.

Two years ago when we were doing Dave Ramsey’s FPU, we sold our nice car (which had payments) on Craigslist and the sale went so well. It eliminated half of our debt! When possible, we always meet potential buyers at a public place. I’ve bought and sold bikes in grocery store parking lots, for example, and the car we sold by meeting the buyer at the local mall.
I’m going to look around my home and see what I might be able to part with. I’m such a constant declutterer that it’s hard to find stuff these days, but I’m sure there are a few items sitting idle. I know of a bike or two for sure. Good idea!
