Unfortunately I live in the path of the Polar Vortex. Don’t know what a polar vortex is? Neither did I and CNN will explain it for you, but all I know is that it is COLD!

And dangerous. The schools in our area are closed today, because the cold air is too dangerous for the kids who walk to school or wait at a bus stop.

The temp here is ZERO with wind chill temperatures around -15. It should warm up to 12 degrees this afternoon and 22 degrees on Wednesday, but my eye is on the balmy 45 degrees we’re expecting on Saturday, when life will get back to normal…or until the next winter fiasco.

So stay warm, stay inside, drink loads of homemade hot chocolate, and know that spring is just 10 week away…

Kristia, it’s funny you mention the cold, we are in summer here in Oz, we are expecting 39 degrees C at the end of the week. I can’t imagine that kind of cold, “burrrr”. Stay warm.

Anita – I had to find a site that converted C to Fahrenheit. WOW, that’s 102 F. Crazy extremes for both of us? or is that normal for you in your summer?
