Every Friday, I share what we ate for the week on our budget. Currently our monthly budget is $500 for my family of 4.

I tend to get a little lazy in the summer time. I throw some kind of meat on the grill and serve it with fresh fruit or a quick veggie, and call it a day.

This Week’s Dinners:

Saturday: Grilled chicken over spinach salad.

Sunday: Leftovers – we cleaned out the refrigerator.

Monday: I was going to grill chicken, but a nasty storm rolled in just as I was going to turn the grill, so I made Crispy Parmesan Chicken Tenders instead. I served with steamed broccoli and the very last container of my homemade sugar-free applesauce.

Tuesday: Grilled Pineapple & Teriyaki Turkey Burgers. I made a triple batch to store the extras in the freezer.

Wednesday: Grilled Sausages with pepper & onion hobo packs

Thursday: I made grilled chicken tender wraps and served with fresh fruit.

Friday: It’s pizza night here, but it’s too hot turn on the oven, so I’m grilling the pizza instead. I’ll serve fresh pineapple, watermelon, and strawberries on the side.

This Week’s Breakfasts, Lunches & Snacks:

Breakfast was eggs & toast, peanut butter toast, and cereal. Lunches and snacks included homemade chicken salad sandwiches, apples, yogurt sticks, cheese sticks, tortilla chips & salsa.
