I took a break from this series over the summer and you’ll never guess what happened!
I BLEW MY GROCERY BUDGET!
That’s what happens when I take my eye off the ball.
So with school starting this past week, I’m getting back to a routine and this series is included.
If you’re on Facebook, I started posting time & money saving tips videos over there. You can see my first one about Breakfast Burritos. I made two batches in preparation for back to school and I was thankful to have breakfast ready to go on this week.
Our dinners this week:
Sunday: I grilled chicken tenders and served with corn on the cob, watermelon and cheap, but tasty garlic bread.
Monday: We ate chicken and black bean enchiladas that I had in the freezer. I really need to do more freezer cooking now that school is back in session. My supply is very low.
Tuesday: First day of school! So per my daughter’s request, I made Burrito Bowls and there was just enough left for me to have one for lunch on Wednesday. I used leftover roasted chicken that I had in the freezer.
Wednesday: I made spaghetti, cheap, but tasty garlic bread, and steamed broccoli.
Thursday: BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) night with tomatoes from my garden, watermelon
Friday: Burgers, watermelon, corn on the cob
Our breakfasts, lunches, and snacks:
With school starting this week, I made two batches of Breakfast Burritos: egg & sausage and egg & ham. I store them in the freezer and heat up in the microwave. Lunches and snacks included leftovers, pb & j, apples, oranges, cheese & crackers, grapes, tortilla chips & cheese.
