Every week, I share how I saved and what we ate for the week on our budget. Our current monthly budget for my family of 4 is $500.
This Week’s Dinners:
Saturday: We spent the day at the day at a swim meet. We were toast when we left the pool, so my husband treated us to dinner at a local sub shop.
Sunday: Day 2 of a weekend long swim meet, so I took advantage of a sale at Giant, buy a store made Stromboli and get a store made pizza FREE. I also served apple and orange slices.
Monday: Chicken & Vegetable Soup, along with Cheap, But Tasty Garlic Bread and apple slices. I had leftover rotisserie chicken in the freezer and I used my homemade chicken stock. It’s a tasty soup and very easy to prepare.
Tuesday: Baked Chicken Tenders, baked sweet potatoes, roasted asparagus
Wednesday: Leftover soup from Monday night, grilled cheese sandwiches, apple slices.
Thursday: Roasted Pork Chops, steamed broccoli
Friday: I’m going to throw some sausages on the grill and serve with freezer fries, and a steamed vegetable.
This Week’s Breakfasts, Lunches, and Snacks:
For breakfast we ate eggs & toast, cereal, and peanut butter & banana toast. Lunches and snacks included ham & cheese sandwiches, pb & j sandwiches, apples, oranges, pretzels, yogurt sticks, cheese sticks, and tortilla chips.
