Every week I share what we ate for the week on our budget. Our current monthly grocery budget for my family of 4 is $500.
Saturday: We went to a Boy Scout all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner fundraiser. It cost $19 for the 4 of us.
Sunday: We went to the end of season swim team banquet. Fortunately, my kids and husband (who coaches) were free, so I only had to pay for myself.
Monday: Meatball sandwiches, roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli, cantaloupe. I buy 5 lb bags of turkey meatballs at BJ’s to keep in the freezer for an easy dinner on crazy weeknights. I just heated them up on the stove top with some marinara sauce.
Tuesday: Chicken tenders, roasted asparagus, cantaloupe.
Wednesday: It was a beautiful day, so I grilled some burgers and served with french fries, and steamed broccoli.
Thursday: Perdue chicken thighs and drum sticks were on sale for .88/lb, so I stocked up. I made our favorite Crock Pot Pesto Ranch Chicken. rice, and roasted asparagus.
Friday: Grilled sausages, oven fries, and some kind of steamed vegetable.
