Day 19 of 31 Days to Slash your Grocery Spending: Saving money on meat
Meat is one of the more expensive items on a grocery list, so I’m always trying to get more bang for my buck in the meat department.
I have an eagle eye for yellow stickers and I scour the sales flyers, but there are many other ways I save on meat that will surely help you slash your spending in the meat department.
Like I mentioned above, I have an eagle eye for markdowns and honestly, it may border on obsession. But it is the #1 way I save money on meat, and it’s always a good day when I stumble upon great deals.
Another money-saving strategy on meat is to compare the price per pound, because often it is lower when you buy larger packages of meat. I often take advantage of the bulk price and batch cook the meat, as I detailed in this post: How to Batch Cook Ground Meat & Sausage
