This Week’s Shopping Trips:

I misplaced my receipt for the shopping trip below, but it was in the high 80’s. I also stopped by BJ’s and picked up a 12 pack of Annie’s Organic Mac-n-cheese and a 13.5 lb bag of baking soda, total spent $18.60. I like to keep the Annie’s on hand for a quick lunch or snack for the kids (and my husband). I use the baking soda in the laundry. I find it prevents stinky towel smell. With 2 competitive swimmers and a swim coach in the family, I wash a lot of towels each week.

This Week’s Dinners:

Sunday: Meatballs, spinach & apple salad, french fries

Monday: Grilled sausages, spinach salad, rice

Tuesday: Chicken, spinach & avocado wraps. I found a marked down whole chicken on my last shopping trip, so I roasted it on what was the first day of really hot weather. Poor planning on my part since I hate to turn on the oven when it’s over 80 degrees. I used the chicken for the wraps, Wednesday night’s meal, and sandwiches for lunch. I also made chicken stock over night in the slow cooker.

Wednesday: Chicken & Waffles, steamed broccoli.

Thursday: Salsa Chicken Casserole

Friday: Burgers, fries, salad, and steamed veg.

Saturday: We will be dining out with friends

This Week’s Breakfasts, Lunches & Snacks:

For breakfast, we ate cereal, eggs & bagels, waffles. For lunches and snacks we ate sandwiches, fruit, pretzels, yogurt sticks, and cheese sticks.
