Are you looking for the perfect 2018 planner? I’m pretty excited about the one that I found for the new year. It is highly functional, affordable, and at the moment, wide open for all the possibilities and opportunities that 2018 will bring.
While I embrace the digital world, paper is the way I plan my life. I have been using a paper planner since my early college days in the late 80’s. I learned very quickly in college that making lists and writing down important dates on a calendar kept me fairly organized and I rarely missed an assignment or deadline. And at the time, a planner made me feel like such a grown up.
The same is true today. My planner makes adulting so much easier. In the hectic season that I am in right now of mothering 2 tween daughters, owning 2 businesses with my husband, and running our home, my planner holds it all together for me to stay on task. That’s not to say that I don’t falter…I’m not perfect….but my new planner just might be! 😉
My 2018 Planner
In 2017, I used the Living Well Planner that has a weekly/monthly layout, along with but hourly slots for each day. I found this feature really helpful at a glance, but I supplemented with post-its or free planning printables that I found online for my daily to-dos. My favorite free printable was from the blog, Day Designer. I downloaded it to my desktop years ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still available, but is worth checking out if you’re interested. You’ll see it in the video.
Recently, I was in Staples for printer ink and browsed the planner section. I found this Day Designer Daily & Monthly Planner that caught my eye, because I have used her free printable for so long. I knew immediately that I found exactly what I needed.
As you’ll see in the video, there are 4 planning pages. I’m going to take some time between Christmas and New Year’s to sit down and think through these pages. What do I want to accomplish this year with all aspects of my life: personal, family, spiritual, work, and of course, financial!
- January – December 2018 tabs.
- 1 day per page
- Durable front & back cover
- Navy & White Stripe design
- Twin wire binding
- Size: 8 X 10
- In the video I quoted a price $24.99, but I was wrong, I paid $27.99–still a reasonable price for this type of planner.
I Heart Daily Planning:
The layout is 1 page per day. Each daily page includes space for hourly planning, Today’s Top 3, To-Do list, Notes, Tonight, Daily Gratitude, and an Inspiration quote. There is A LOT of space for daily planning and that is what attracted me to this planner.
Are you a paper planner person? I’d love to hear about your 2018 planner. Tell us all about it in the comments.
