I just lost over a week of my life.
I came down with some terrible bug that knocked me out. But I’m a self-employed wife and mother, so I worked through my misery. Like so many of you know, life doesn’t take a break even when our bodies are screaming for it.
This past weekend, I finally just laid on the couch so I browsed through some old pictures to take away the boredom.
We’ll start in 1992 when my husband and I were just dating. This picture had my husband and I peeing our pants from laughing so hard. No wrinkles, no gray…just big hair and our youth.
In 2005, we celebrated our first Christmas as parents. We waited 5 years for this little bundle and it was a wonderful Christmas. Our sweet boy, Toby was our first baby though.
In 2006, our oldest daughter was 1. My guess is that Toby is looking at a treat that someone is holding to keep him sitting still.
2008…the year that I failed as a mother. I can’t find a single picture of our youngest daughter’s first Christmas. Seriously, on what hard drive could they be on!
So we’ll skip on to 2009 when our second daughter was 1 1/2 and our oldest was 4. One of my most favorite years EVER. I hope these two will always be the best of friends.
In 2013, the toddler years have passed us by and they’re growing up way too fast.
When was the last time you looked through old pictures?
One of my favorite things to do!! Sadly I don’t do it enough. Thank you for the reminder of a fun and entertaining thing to do on a snowy afternoon!

I don’t go through old photos enough either. My kids get a kick out of seeing mom & dad in our younger years. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I’m so glad you’re feeling better, though go slowly and enjoy the season. It’s okay if this Christmas is different.
I should dig into my old pictures. I only get to dig into them now to make First Communion Albums every year or so.

I’m feeling much better, except for the fact that I have very little shopping done. Yikes, I need to get rolling.
