Clean your windows for just pennies

Washing windows is not high on my list of favorite things to do. But this tip is so stinkin’ easy and CHEAP!

I don’t buy window cleaner and haven’t for years. Instead, my window solution costs pennies and does just as well as store-bought sprays. No streaks, just crystal clear, clean windows.

A friend who owns a window cleaning business gave me this tip several years ago. Instead of industrial-strength cleaners, he uses original blue Dawn dishwashing liquid to clean his windows.

Washing windows

Homemade Window Cleaner

Fill a spray bottle with water and add about 2 drops of original Dawn dishwashing liquid. Don’t add too much Dawn or your windows will be soapy. Shake well right before spraying on the glass.

I try to avoid buying paper towels and instead use old bath towels or onesies as rags. My windows go from grimy to crystal clear.

This solution works well on mirrors too.

I love Dawn! It’s my favorite dish-washing liquid. For more ideas, read 20 Different Ways to Use Original Blue Dawn.

What do you use to wash windows? Let us know in the comments.
