day 21 sq

Today is Day 21 and I’m recapping the week’s menu and my shopping trips.

This Week’s Dinners:

Monday: Pasta with clams & fresh tomatoes and spinach & strawberry salad. I used grape tomatoes that I found in the freezer.

Tuesday: We went to an end of the school year Girl Scouts picnic. I brought a pasta & vegetable salad and cheese & crackers platter.

Wednesday: It was Cast Iron Skillet night. I used one of my cast iron skillets to brown boneless pork chops and my other cast iron skillet to roast red potatoes in the oven. I served with spinach & strawberry salad, and steamed peas for my spinach-phobic younger daughter.

Thursday: I bought subs from a Boy Scout fundraiser. Selling subs is a popular fundraiser in my area. They sell for about $5, profits go to the non-profit organization, and I didn’t have to cook

Friday: My daughters’ elementary school had their end of school year Spring Fair. We ate dinner from a food truck.

Saturday: Grilled turkey burgers, french fries, steamed broccoli.

This week’s breakfasts, lunches, and snacks:

For breakfast we ate cereal, frozen waffles, eggs & bagels. Lunches and snacks included turkey & cheese sandwiches, apples, oranges, cheese sticks, yogurt sticks, chips.

This week’s shopping trips:

This week, I made just one shopping trip and spent $107.96. I stumbled onto some dairy markdowns: organic yogurt, yogurt sticks, and mozzarella cheese.
